Complicated Questions

Every human in the world has questions that they hate not having the answer to. It`s part of human nature. So the question is,what are three questions that I hate not having an answer to? One question, why do things die? Another question, if God is real why do people suffer? The last one is, why is life difficult?

It bothers me to not have the answers to these questions. Do people really have to die? It`s hard when you`re dealing with death. You often ask yourself whats the point of death. It bothers me. I strongly believe that God is real. But, why do people suffer? Good people suffer and go hungry every single day.God has the power to help, why does he not? Life is a difficult thing. Life should not be so hard. We should not have so many temptations. We should be able to breeze through and enjoy it.

I figured that a good way to find these answers to these questions are to talk to a theology teacher  priest,  mentor, or even God. In life we don`t always choose the right path or get the best answer to or question. Life is difficult. If we pass the test we achieve eternal salvation. It`s the best test, but it`s a hard one to pass.

Big Idea

What is one BIG idea that I have had while reading this book? This book has given me many ideas. I have decided that I need to spend more time observing nature. What does that mean? I want to literally spend much time every day this summer out in nature. My goal means a lot of things. I want to watch the birds and the squirrels. I like to watch nature already but while reading this book it makes more sense. God has put nature in this world for us to enjoy. Enjoy I will!

This book has been eye opening. I haven`t appreciated nature. I now can look at in a deeper sense. This thought can change my life, I now think of life in a deeper sense. Life is short, I have to enjoy every second of it. I need to commit more time. I need to open the wrapped present that is nature. Nature is for us to enjoy and I need to enjoy it more.

How do thoughts affect reality?

How do thoughts affect reality? From personal experience my dreams and thoughts can effect reality. Thoughts don`t always affect reality negatively. I have thought to accomplish a goal. My thoughts and dreams help me to achieve my goal.

Often I dream up something big. I tell my dad my goal or what I am thinking. If he agrees that it`s a good idea he helps me achieve it. One day when I was younger, I thought we should have a dog. I told my dad why. He agreed that it was a good idea to have a dog.

That thought became a dream; and that dream became a reality. It`s true that thoughts can turn into dreams and dreams can turn into a reality. It`s amazing what happens when you want to do something you can change reality. It`s real and it`s amazing.

What connects us also keeps us apart

What connects us also keeps us apart. This is a true statement. The internet is a great way to stay connected with others. The downside to the internet is that it also keeps us apart. Many people justify moving to a different place or going on a long trip because they can contact their family and friends over the internet or phone.

From a scientific standpoint were are never walking on the ground. The electrons separate us from everything we touch. Sometimes in life we are not totally connected with things that we think we are. The things we feel are not being touched. It`s amazing and scary at the same time.

We are not totally connected with nature. Our senses connect us with nature, but the animals instincts keep us apart. Our feet connect us with nature. We can walk to a destination that we would like to go to with our feet. Sometimes our footsteps scare the animals off which separates us from nature.

My Bedroom Window

My bedroom window is a very interesting place. My bedroom window is huge! I love to watch outside of my bedroom window because there is so much to see. My window overlooks the yard, and then the street. I really enjoy watching the birds.

Many birds seem to flock to our yard. We have about 20 robins that hang around our house. I have counted 12 in my front yard at one time! We have a medium sized tree in our front yard. This tree seems to be the hot spot for birds such as robins, blue jays, and a few cardinals.

My dog loves to spend time outside. I spend a lot of time watching her sniff around and chase the squirrels. We don`t get many squirrels in our yard because we don`t have any oak trees in our neighborhood. When there are squirrels in my yard, my dog is on top of it.

That is about all there is to see outside of my bedroom window. I have a nice view, it could be better and it could be worse. My dream is to buy a house with a great view. I would love to but a bird feeder in my front yard so that we could get more diverse birds in my view. I love my bedroom window!

I see many things in nature. I love nature very much. My uncle is a huge hunter, and has taught me everything I know about nature. One day he went off to his tree stand, way out in the woods to hunt. He told me as soon as the sun goes down to ride out on the four- wheeler to pick him up. I knew the woods very well, all he had to do was to tell me where he would be.

I saw the sun go down, so I fired up the four- wheeler to pick him up. I turned on the head lights and began my journey into the woods. I had traveled a long distance to where he said he would be. He was not there. I thought well that`s odd.

I but the ATV in neutral and revved it 5 times. I head a crack through the woods as if someone or something was running. Then out of know where a family of deer came running through the woods 50 feet from me. It was amazing. There was a doe, buck, and two fawn`s! A minute after they had passed my uncle had come out of the woods by the ATV. I had told him what I have seen.

It`s amazing how I make all that noise riding and revving the four- wheeler  and the family of deer still came right by me. Although they gave me a good scare at first, I probably scared them immensely. I remember this moment because it was truly amazing. That is by far my favorite memory of nature. This memory has been with me forever because it was awe inspiring to have a family of deer so close to me when I was making so much noise!

Reflection of Seasons

In the Midwest seasons change like clockwork. Summer only lasts for a shot time. It seems that the cold weather lasts forever. This year the season`s haven`t changed much. This year seems to be winter and then more winter. Summer is the best. I want to move to the South West so I can experience warm weather.

In reality the Midwest weather sucks! This winter was extremely cold. We experienced intense snow, with cold wind and rain. This spring has been cold and rainy. It has snowed in April! It`s getting nicer now, and finally I have the opportunity to play basketball and tennis outdoors.

I hope the rest of the year is a warm year. Last year was very nice during the summer and fall. I hope we can repeat that weather, so I can play outside more. I love to be outside so much. Last year I took advantage of the great summer, and fall. I hope to be able to take advantage of the changing season`s once again!

Reflection: Something I have recently seen in Nature

I love the outdoors a lot. I love to see all of the different animals. Recently I have been spending much time outdoors. Pilgrim at Tinker Creek may just be a motivational factor for this new hobby of mine. My grandparents own two acres of land. I have been spending much time at there house watching the squirrels  birds and all of the other animal`s.

Let`s start with the birds. Despite the horrible weather, the birds are back! My grandma has a beautiful bird feeder and bath. This area seems to be the hot spot for many birds in our area. We saw many cardinal`s and Blue Jay`s. The Blue Jays are may favorite bird. Compared to other`s, they are massive. All of the birds are beautiful creatures of God. I love to watch them in their natural habitat.

Finally I will talk about the "rodent" group. In my grandma`s yard there are also many squirrels and chipmunks. The squirrels can be little pests. They climb on the bird feeder, the windows, and the screen door! The chipmunks on the other hand are shy creatures. Regardless of their timidness, they can be quite pesky so watch out.

I love to observe nature. I like to watch animal`s in their natural habitat. Animals are beautiful creatures of the earth. Without animals, the world would be a dull place.

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek By Annie Dillard

The purpose of this blog is to reflect on nature. I`m reflecting on nature as well as the book Pilgrim at Tinker creek. All of this work is for an English Survey Honors Class.
